1099 Form

This is our first request for any distributions that were paid during 2021.  Please download the 1099 form from our website.  

The Form 1099-R will need to be prepared, furnished to plan participant(s) by January 31, 2020 and must be filed with the IRS by February 28, 2020. We urge those people with life insurance in their retirement plan not to file their personal tax return to early as the 1099 may not be filed in a timely manner.  If you have life insurance in your plan, be prepared to file the Form 1099 late and pay the penalties for late filing.

Please note that per our TPA Agreement, we do not prepare Form 945 and we do not prepare Form 1099-R unless requested to do so in writing. Thus if we do not hear from you by January 11, 2021, we will assume that you do not have any distributions and that a 2021 Form 1099-R is not required.

If you need to have Form 945 prepared, please speak to your accountant. If you should have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact this office.
